VICE PRESIDENT AT PROCHOICE GROUNDS

AN ambulance with a water running system was one of the major attractions at the just ended Harare Agricultural Show.

Converted by a local engineering company ProChoice Logistics and Agritec, the ambulance also has enhanced power voltage outlets to accommodate a wide variety of medical equipment including ventilators.

Among the visitors whose interest was captured by the vehicle was Vice President Chiwenga who took his time at the stand learning from ProChoice managing director Prosper Muchenje how they have used the latest technology to come up with specialist vehicles, logistics and agricultural products.“Founded in 2013, ProChoice Logistics has evolved its business concept over the years to establish its stronghold in fortifying the reemergence of Zimbabwe’s productive sectors through local manufacturing of the medical and agricultural sectors, tools of trade,” said Muchenje.

“We took our time to carry what we call reverse engineering where we disassemble vehicles like an ambulance and came up with an improvised mechanism and contribute to our nation’s reemergence to productivity and self-sufficiency, through cost effectiveness and quality.

“Our ambulance conversion department is our business flagship epitomizing our craftsmanship in vehicle conversion.“Combining tested designs with forward thinking solutions. We build basic intermediate and advanced care ambulance units on minibuses, off road vehicles and aircrafts,” said Muchenje.Among their products includes armoured vehicles, transit vehicles, police vans, escort vehicles, mobile clinics, mobile kitchens and bars, rescue vehicles and funeral hearse. The Agritec Division specializes in the supply of agricultural equipment which includes rippers, shellers, planters, combined harvesters, tractors and other new generation agricultural equipment. The 2020 Zimbabwe Agricultural Show which ran from 28th October to 31st October was strictly for business exhibitions, with some of its events held virtually in an effort by the Zimbabwe Agricultural Society (ZAS) to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. It ran under the theme “Synergies for Growth-Cooperate. Collaborate. Complement” to rally support for the cause of agriculture and attendant value chains for increased “Production, Productivity and Profitability”.
